Urodziwa... Amzonia nadreńska wierzbolistna Amsonia tabernaemontana var. salicifolia
To prześliczna bylina z północno-wschodniej i środkowej części Stanów Zjednoczonych. Wyróżnia się błękitnymi kwiatami i dekoracyjnymi liśćmi.
Jej sztywne, 60-90 cm wysokości łodygi zakończone są stożkowatymi gronami kwiatków w kształcie gwiazdek o jasnoniebieskim kolorze, kwitnących od późnej wiosny do lata.
Liście są wąskie, zielone, podobne do liści wierzby o długości do 8 cm; jesienią wybarwiają się w złotych tonacjach. Nadaje się na rabaty bylinowe lub wilgotne łąki z dzikimi kwiatami.
Roślina o znaczeniu kolekcjonerskim, rzadko spotykana, ale ze względu na urodę i wysoką mrozoodporność - warto ją zaprosić do swojego ogrodu.
Rady ogrodnika: Gatunek ten, jeśli rośnie w wilgotnej, żyznej glebie na pełnym słońcu lub w półcieniu - potrzebuje minimalnej troski. Na zimę część nadziemna zamiera. Jest mrozoodporny. Warto wiedzieć, że... amsonia nie lubi przesadzania i często nawet przez kilka lat po tym zabiegu nie zakwitnie.
